New Things Part 2

Gosh, it's only been a week since my last posting but Julia has learned so many new things.

-Blows kisses
-Makes Indian noises (I showed her how to do this on Friday night and by Sunday she was doing it by herself. I left so proud.)
-She got her 4th tooth. It's another top one.
-She will go to a soft blanket or pillow and lay her head down on it. It's so cute and every time she does it we say "awhh" just because it is so darn cute.
-She is learning the meaning of "no". If I say no to her she will stop what she is grabbing for. Then she will try again and I say no again. I let this happen a couple of times and then redirect her attention to something else.

She learned these things before but I just forgot to add them to the list:
-High five. I put my hand up and she will smack her hand to mine.
-Now this is crazy. Sometimes when we try to put her in her car seat and she does not want to go she arches her back and tried to keep from getting put it. Of course it comes with screaming. But once she is in she is fine.

I know I've said this before but it's true. She is so much fun!!!!

So many new things

Julia just turned 9 months last Friday 1-18. She is growing so fast. She now has 3 teeth!!! This one caused her a bit more pain than the other two, her gums were very swollen. We had a couple of nights where she woke up (just about the time the Motrin wore off). But it did finally break skin on Tuesday 1-22. That morning I knew it broke skin because she was kind of grinding it with her bottom teeth. Kind of like "oh there is something new in there".

Some other things that she has learned are:
She kisses. Sometimes when you ask her. Sometimes just when she feels like it!!! So AWESOME!!!!!!
She is a great hugger!!!!
She points at things
She can shut off the light
Throw a ball
Stands by herself for a short period of time
Has taken 1 step
She says DaDadadadada and nananana (what ever that is, but it's good that she is babbling)

She also had a 9 Month well visit.
Weight: 18 pounds 14 oz
Height: 27 1/2 inches

We have been very strict with only giving Julia baby food. We felt that why give it to her, it does not benefit her at all. But now that Julia is 9 months we are going to start giving her little tastes of table food. But we do feel that she is only to taste healthy food, nothing fried or full of sugar. I did give her a taste of pasta over Nona's and Grandpa's house, she loved it (of course she is half Italian). She also had a taste of mashed potatoes. On an everyday basis we will still give her baby food at least until she is a year old.

First Word

Scott got an early Christmas present this year....from Julia. On December 23 she started saying Dada. How cute!!! She says it all the time. I'm not quite sure if she knows who Dada is. But when I say Dada to her she looks at Scott. How awesome is that. It's funny in the morning because she calls out Dada in her crib. So I tell Scott he has to go because she is calling for him, hee hee.

Julia has also mastered waving. I can tell her to wave and she does it. What a smarty!!!! One last thing that she is doing that is amazing us is that she is able to stand all by herself for a few seconds. I think she is very daring....my little Evil Knievel.
